The Catalyst: Aphantasia

I was shocked last fall when I discovered I have aphantasia—a “blind mind’s eye.” Soon after I realized my mind is also deaf and mute! My inner world is silent, still, and devoid of images and verbal dialogue.

I initially tried to “fix” it, hammering at a conscious front door that was dead bolted shut. Yet, in my dreams—the back door—the images remained vivid and alive.

The Revelation: Cruelty Gaps

The shift came when I stopped trying to cure my way of being and started accepting it. Because my internal screen is blank, I see the world differently.

I began noticing cruelty gaps: the friction that forms when we misunderstand one another because our hidden scripts don’t match. We assume others experience the world as we do; when they don’t, we often mistake different wiring for malice.

The Mission: Building the Crossroads

Carl Jung said that until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate. Symdiy exists to close those gaps.
